I am Øyvind Pedersen, living at the top of Norway, in the small town of Kjøllefjord, almost 71 degrees north. "Where nature rules" is a common used slogan among the people here, explaining the conditions we live under. The weather can be rough during winter, and for two months the sun never rises above the horizon, giving us darkness for 24 hours a day, for about two months, from mid November to the end of January. It´s spectacular in it´s own way. And when the aurora dances across the sky on a cold and clear November night, we feel lucky to live here.....
When the midnight sun arrives, early in May, and never sets until August, we have forgotten the long, long winter, and the lack of sleep starts to be an issue :)
My whole life, the outdoors have been a big part of my life, and fishing and hunting has been my favourite hobbies throughout the years. The last years I have picked up an interest in nature photography, and this website is a result of that.
Through my lens I want to show you the beauty of our country, our arctic landscapes and our fantastic wildlife. I hope you enjoy my galleries.
If you would like to buy a print or two, feel free to contact me. You can find more information about prints by clicking on "prints" on the menu.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy my galleries :)
